Parents often ask whether therapy is working, but progress can be hard to notice day by day. Weekly tracking makes improvements easier to see and discuss.

Track three things consistently: behavior frequency, communication attempts, and independence in daily tasks. Keep definitions simple so data stays reliable.

Record context, not just outcomes. Note what happened before and after a behavior. Patterns in triggers and supports are often more useful than raw counts.

Share weekly observations with your therapist using the same format each time. Consistent reporting improves plan adjustments and target selection.

Celebrate functional gains, even when they seem small. One extra independent request or smoother transition can signal meaningful long-term development.
