The best tutoring plans are clear, calm, and child-specific. Begin by defining one academic goal and one confidence goal for the next four weeks.
Keep sessions predictable. Children respond well when each lesson follows a familiar rhythm: recap, guided practice, independent try, and reflection.
Share observations between tutor and parent weekly. A short note on what worked at home can help the tutor adjust methods quickly.
Use strengths to teach harder skills. If your child enjoys art, use drawing prompts for writing. If they love movement, build active learning breaks into lessons.
Most importantly, protect the relationship. Correct with kindness, celebrate effort, and end each session with one success your child can feel proud of.
